We tend to showcase the more military inspired side of WTAPS through our shop looks, but every season the brand offers a few “preppy” and “trad” items mixed into their usual utilitarian repertoire. We had our good friend Shori- Chef at Kingyo Toronto stop by the store to highlight a few of his favourite prep pieces from TAPS’ latest arrivals. Up top Shori layers a lightweight cardigan over top of this seasons Trad L/S button down both made with unique temperature regulating fabrics which are extremely breathable and perfect for the sweltering east coast heat and humidity. Below we opted for the chino knee cut shorts from WTAPS – the tailored slim fit is on point and makes any outfit look clean.

The 3 button blazer has become a wardrobe staple in recent years, and for good reason; it offers the versatility of being worn both casually and in formal situations with relative ease. This season ASSEMBLE offers their take on the classic garment. They reworked almost every element on the piece and opted for non traditional materials resulting in a crazy progressive re-interpretation. Rex pairs the jacket with a new washed denim iteration of the popular Dweller 5P jean by nonnative and ties the fit together with converse’s latest collaborative militia inspired sneaker with Nigel Cabourn.
