Not too long ago our good friend Jan borrowed some goods from the shop for a shoot for his blog Manuel Labour.  We didn’t really know what he was up to until now. The SS13 Comme des Garcons Shirt line is one of the strongest we’ve seen from them. Lot’s of bright colours, patterns in their classic panelled designs.

We got a handful of beautiful knits coming through next season from the Shirt line. Can’t wait!

People can’t seem to get enough of PLAY.  They got some new things in the works.

We’ll be welcoming the Perfume soon as well.

To some Friday the 13th is an unlucky date, but to us it made for an amazing night. Our friends at Reigning Champ recently completed their first offering of footwear in collaboration with Converse First String. Being an avid supporter and stockist of both brands, our newest Toronto location was the perfect setting for the world wide launch of this project. Along side Reigning Champ and Converse, we once again teamed up with inquiringmind magazine and Sapporo for the night’s festivities. Attendees were given an exclusive preview of Reigning Champs fall/winter collection as they partied to the night’s soundtrack provided by DJs Mattice and Amy Traphouse. Thank you for all those who came out and made it a memorable night, see you all soon.

Bedwin has just released their lookbook for their fall/winter 2012 collection titled “I’ll Be Your Mirror”, offering a preview of what to look forward to for the coming season. Once again taking inspirations from Rock’n'Roll, the Velvet Underground song titled collection reflects both cool and classic elements expected from the brand. Bedwin creates many unique and original pieces in a comprehensive range of accessories, T-shirts, menswear, and outerwear. Some of the standout pieces include an asymmetrical closure duffle coat, velvet pea coat, and casual tailcoat. Stay tuned for news on our upcoming fall/winter deliveries.

This video is an insightful look into the design process that Errolson Hugh and his team go through, giving birth to countless innovations in technical apparel. What an amazing archive! We’re also quite proud to say that is Errolson is from Canada; just like us!

A couple weeks ago we got back from Paris previewing Spring/Summer 13 collections.  Though it’s quite a long time until Spring we wanted to highlight some of our favorites.  We got some exciting new brands to introduce and some old favorites.

Yuketen is joining the roster next spring.  These ripple sole oxfords are amazing!

Lots of new NBHD and WTAPS to highlight form our recent arrivals.  As always very strong military inspiration coming from both lines this season.  We’ve received a variety of stellar Cargo pants in cropped and long versions. The WTAPS Jungle Stock Trousers are a must for any WTAPS enthusiast. We’ve also received a couple very nice Mil Spec over shirts that are perfect as a layering piece on chillier summer nights.

One other thing, our boy Alex is moving to San Francisco next month for Design school.  He’s only got a couple more weeks with us at the shop, so if you’re around Gastown in Vancouver make sure to pop by to say good luck!!!

nonnative has been a stand out favourite of the staff here at HAVEN.  Every piece is exceptionally detailed and beautifully made.  Many of the pieces are created in a method that is ideal for layering but look amazing alone as well.  It is no wonder that the nonnative has garnered so much praise. Peep the new shop looks with Tim in some recent new arrivals. When the sun is out it’s a great time to bust out the bright colors and patterns. One of the standout pieces from NBHD this season is the patchwork madras ‘PW / C-Shirt . LS’ Shirt.  Featuring a beautiful arrangement of patched lightweight madras this shirt is perfect for keeping you cool and looking fresh on a summer day.  The new SOPH Hard Damaged Denim must also be highlighted for the incredible hand distressing and perfect slim fit.
